is that Chris as in ME Chris? It’s like I said, I can build a GUI in interface builder…. well, most of it anyway I doubt I can just make some of the features you guys are talkin about, they may have to be coded. but I don’t know exactly how to tie the code to the GUI… but if I make it I think I can send you guys the NIB files to do the dirty work… right?

I also do not find the TouchStudio program in Installer. I’ve added the Touchmods rep, but there only appears the sip-voip, siphone and the contacts demo…
…
I refreshed my sources several times but nothing happened
I hope you can tell me which source i have to add to get the TouchStudio prgm!

fabian

nice work Justin!!!
Only some suggesions from my point:
i woud like to see on the recording-page an standard stereo-Levelmeter, like a digital LEDbar. And a clipping-counter.
And for more usability, i imagine the very big red circle can be the Start-button and if the record is runing it is the PAUSE-button. maybe the startbutton is in a fading-loop (dark/brigth), and become solide red on run.
I like more the darker red color you choosed on the “Delete Audio Clip” Button.
On the Playback it woud be good to have the level-meter-bar also and to see where the recording is clipping. and to have a basic timeline of the current position on the file. And a info about the file length.
For my oppion it isn’t importent to regulate the on the Player the bass and treble. (maybe only to adjust it one time for the used headspeackers, so better to put it to playback-options or sth.?)
on the Recorder-Options-Page i would prefer a little different order:
Base Filename

Save Directory
File Format
(Recording Imput)*
Sample Rate
Record Start Delay (or -> “Start Recording after..”
Recording Timer (or -> “Stop Recording after..”
Voice Detection
Beep on Rec. Start/Stop
. . . . . . . .
Recording upload Options…
.
.
.
* only if we have an choose of different inputs
I think we need always the Timestamp for the Filename, and so it is more easy to kick it out to choose it (and it is more save on a recording-sassion)
The sensety must be on the Record-Page and must be for bothe channels seperated.
Sorry for all this suggestions.
I’m corious about this App… realy

ok that’s cool I was freakin out becuase I just suggested I would help lol.
March 10, 2008 at 2:01 pm
@martino: thanks!!
Let’s use “Start/Stop Recording after..” - as this is more easy to understand for everybody
also, “Voice Activity Detection (VAD)” is the scientific name of that auto on/off module. but that is clear for everybody anyway…
Recording upload options: Maybe here we need a nested settings page like the one of Colloquy? Pls check out Colloquy, which allows connection to multiple accounts, server settings, etc.. Networking ppl: any suggestions?

does voip work on 1.1.4

Hey, I’d really like to see proper VU meters, with instantaneous and peak hold display. The need for a large button to start recording and playback seems nugatory, when ideally a proper transport control with scrub (varispeed) capabilities would be far more ideal. The freq analyzer is nice, but fast VU meters are more what I would look for.

April 13, 2008 at 10:36 pm
i sooo can’t wait!! when will it be out?

Yeah. Can’t wait. I REALLY need some good SW for recording with the touch. any guesses on when some beta would be out?
Any chance that the code on the site right now could be compiled and put on installer so everyone eager to start could have something to play with?
