Hello, i was just wondering how long will it take for the mics/headsets to ship to canada?? cause i live in british columbia and i just ordered a headset last night… so could you please tell me or email me, Thanks it’s just that i’m soooo excited for it!! =P

hello shirin, the mics are normally shipped in the same day, so they arrive roughly the next week in case of Canada. The headset is not in production yet, what you see on the page is a prototype. They will probably not ship before beginning of May. Sorry.

I’m just wondering if there are any further development plans on the SIP-VoIP from the Touchmods team.
I see these application ideas such as
BALLOON - blow into the mic to blow up virtual balloons. make a contest who pops the balloon the fastest way.
I mean this is great for my child to play on.
I’m just curious what really are the current items in the works for the SIP-VOIP App. I’m not talking about discovery items but things rather items that you already know how to implement.
For example a contact list screen - even if it doesn’t use the ipod touch contacts list.

awww.. so you mean that the headset won’t be shipped for another couple of weeks?
well since today is april 20, and you said that they won’t be shipped until the beginning of may… will that take like 2 weeks?? Well Thanks for all your time.

@Touchmods fan: we are trying to have a driver for the built-in piezo for the Touch, then an integrated settings page in the main Settings menu of the Touch/iPhone, etc. Pls. let yourself to be surprised

@Touchmods fan: there are two solutions:
a) you may register to our wiki, and look at point nr. 3 here for collecting info:

b) we push Andreas a little more to move our forum to our new server
(his email addr: his first name.at.touchmods.dot.net)
@jaguerra: putting the mic into an external (even mini) loudspeaker would create acoustic echo in case of using it as a duplex audio in/out device for VoIP. This means, an extra acoustic echo canceler should then run in parallel with the codec and all SIP processes, eating up CPU time, maybe even dropping frames unless somebody rewrites parts of the SIP code into ASM. In other words, doable, but there are higher priority tasks right now.
