After Cyrille offered to collect info on the BT hack, Uphi was posting some weeks ago, we decided to rewrite the “A Little (More) Magic” post to our Wiki, so that it looks more as a tutorial.

Of course, it may still happen that the howTo is not easy to understand, or some detail is missing. We would like to ask everybody: do not be lazy, and give us a feedback through the comments below in all cases: if you made the mod, if you feel something is missing, or: if you have some more info related to this mod.
The best hackers: pls make a video in case you have some extra time. But when putting it onto youtube (or any other channel) do not forget to add the keyword: “touchmods, bluetooth headset, pairing” so that people easily find it online. We will link your video from our Wiki and Blog.
Happy hacking!
@Cyrille: pls use this page to create the other tutorial.

It can be found right now in your Installer under “Touchmods”.

Future versions with more functions will come to you as update.
Have fun.

Hi Everybody,
it is time to ask the most important question of the week:
How do you like our main page at Touchmods.net (and .org)?

We did our best to have the Wiki ready 4U at beginning of April, so pls do not hesitate to use it. The same holds for the IRC: Thomas did set it up for all of us back in Dec.2007! At the time of the first VoIP release there used to be 50+ ppl chatting online. If the new Siphon will be released, pls go there and use it: help each other with the setup problems and account questions.
Also, we do have a Forum installed since some days but we were not sure if it is needed or not. This is the reason why there is no link to the forum from the main page. Still, if you think it is useful and that you could contribute, feel free to register at http://wiki.touchmods.net/drupal5/. Once we see that there is a use of the forum, we will link it from the main pages, beside the IRC, Blog, CodeRepository, etc.
So, lets’ come together on the wiki/irc/forum, while waiting excited for the new Siphon.

Ok, let us show you the look-and-feel of Siphon v.1.3:

The photo above demonstrates from left to right:
- new icon (classic phone made of headphones and the Touch itself )
- integrated SIP settings in the main Settings menü
- nice (and finally clear) input fields
- iPhone-like keyboard
- integrated Contacts
- tiny icon on the status bar showing SIP in background waiting for a call
Also, by clicking on the photo you will get a hires image (for your blog).
.. and just a test question: have you noticed the EDGE switch above

Hello Boys,
you may remember we had some Icon Designers from Italy back in December 2007. Now we are happy to have the Italian version of our FAQ here. Good luck, and enjoy it! Thanks to Andrea, our new friend!!

We just received the Dutch FAQ from the “Touchmods NL” team! Since the FAQ needs regular update and we at “Touchmods Basis*” do not speak Dutch, maybe it is best to keep the different language versions updated on the Wiki. Therefore anybody who registers can easily edit the page, and change/update even small details.
It seems we will need volunteers who register at the wiki and take care of different languages, not only of the FAQ, but also other pages, like TouchStudio, etc.

Hello!
Reluttr just sent us his design of a new game controller:

Acc. to the image the controller hosts the iPod Touch in a landscape mode.
Further, he writes:
“In theory it should work, because there are ipod remotes that do fully
work on the touch, and a game pad is technically a remote, just in a
more comfortable game friendly layout. I believe this would be a hit,
especially if zodttd integrated it to work with his emulators. Developing
something like this would be groundbreaking and would promote more
gaming on the touch/phone. For instance Doom, quake, and other games could
be modded to work with it thus making a more gamer friendly
environment.
I know there is other things people may be wanting like a external
camera to be put on the dock, or even a w-sim adaptor. But I believe the
gamepad is the most needed/wanted and possibly the easiest to achieve. I
think this would also help further expand you knowledge of the dock
and its potential.
Anyways I figured if anyone could make something like this real it
would be you guys, since you most likely know more about the limits of the
iphone/touchs dock than anyone else.
First of all, big thanks, Reluttr for sharing the idea with us. We just created a separate session for this topic on our Wiki here. Everybody, plese share your opinion/ideas with others to speed up the development of such an add-on. In case you have a little time and some useful info related to the topic share the info below on the Comments session or on the Wiki. As said: the Wiki is out there for you! .. and gaming is fun
Happy Hacking!

hello friends,
at the moment we are building up a brainpool for applications which could be useful, cool or funny.
here is a start:
- BALLOON - blow into the mic to blow up virtual balloons. make a contest who pops the balloon the fastest way.
- GLIDER - a game where a glider flyes through a tunnel which has spikes on top and bottom. move the glider up by blowing into the mic. move him down by not blowing.
- DTMF DECODER - decode dtmf sounds with your ipod/iphone. you often hear this sounds in movies or somewhere else. with this app, you can find out which number was dialed or which message was sent.
- VISUAL AUDIO ALARM - a app mainly for deaf ppl. select a volume preset. if there is a sound louder then this preset. the display will flash.
- VOICE RECORDER/REMINDER/DICTAPHONE - talk your messages or letters on the road into your ipod/iphone. then have the mp3 stored locally on the device, or select a email to send the mp3 over wifi or gsm. you could send it to your webblog or your secretary. your letter will be typed, printed and ready for you to sign when you enter the office.
- BAD DAY - blow in the mic to move rain clouds away from the screen. the little computer ppl in this game dont like it to get wet. (thanks mason)
- KARAOKE - a singstar/taptap clone/mix. (thanks Gianni)
- SING TRAINER / iCapella - load your notelines (midi) and practice them singing at perfect timing and pitch. see the “wrong” notes and work on them to be a better singer. (thanks JLA)
- FLUTE/TRUMPET - blow into the mic and press buttons to make noises. (thanks Daniel)
- METRONOM - use the ipod builtin klick-speaker as a metronom klicker.
- CLAPPER - a power saving daemon who switches off the screen (thanks deltaspecops) (the power consumption of the daemon may be bigger than the power saving)
- VOICE (UN)LOCK - unlock or lock your ipod with your voice (thanks Conner)
- VOICE LAUNCHER - a app launcher daemon. say what you want, and the app starts. (we need a star-trek skin for this. ;-))
- BPM METER - play any music, and the ipod tells you the bpm of it. (thanks Zoega)
- VOICE CODER - encrypt your telephone conversation. (thanks cyclonefr)
- (please tell us YOUR ideas, how we could make your mic even more valuable)
Thank You!
